The Odd Socks Enterprise is Expanding.

The Odd Socks Enterprise is a unique, innovative social enterprise created by Joseph Tomlinson. The company has been created by Joe and friends, as Joe wanted an opportunity to contribute back to his local community, to give something back and not to be seen as a passive recipient of social care. It is unique because it is run by disabled people to help more local disabled people get better lives. In other words any funds raised, in fact every penny, go back to Embrace’s Individual Grant Fund, to enable people to get the equipment they need which is above and beyond statutory responsibility.

So why ‘The Odd Socks Enterprise’? Well I don’t know about you but odd socks in our household have been creating problems for us for years. We loose so many socks yet never find the other part of the pair. The odd socks sit there waiting for months to be reunited, but still nothing happens, and why is it that it’s the good pairs that always get separated? Well we thought long and hard and came up with the idea that they must have a purpose – recycling of course and providing a high quality free service for the community!
